The Committee on Public Health recommends that the Verkhovna Rada adopts the Bill "On Ratification of the National Program on fighting Oncologic Diseases for the Period till 2016" as a Basis

The National Program (Reg. No.4605) improves quality and accessibility of medical aid rendered to the sick with malignant tumours, envisages State guarantees of medical aid and enhances the conditions for prolongation and improvement of the standard of life of the sick with cancer diseases.

The Committee members believe that adoption of the Bill will specify the capacities of State support aimed at the prevention of cancer diseases and medical treatment of the sick.
